Well…..I didn’t get my new video up this week. It has been an unbelievably busy time in my life personally, on top of this challenge, so I’m trying my best! The goal is to get it up this week! Until then, do what is working for you and maybe change up a few videos or exercises! Next week I will provide a new set of suggested exercises for those of you who need it!

Thanks so much for these devotionals and nuggets of wisdom. I am doing well, praise the Lord! This week’s key really hits home for me. I struggle with sugar cravings and realize that I need to turn to the Father in moments of temptation. Looking forward to reading other’s comment and blogs this week.
Yes….turning to scripture and prayer has helped me also!
I cannot think of anyone that I would rather get healthy with mind, body and spirit then Jesus……do you?
Another much needed verse for and Key for the week. I have been nailing the exercise but giving in to every craving!
So good! Thanks for the next week!!=)
Can’t wait to start a new week!! I have been wanting to read Made To Crave. I also start tomorrow with Unglues by Lysa! This is going to be an amazing week!! Thanks for all you do!!
I meant Unglued.
Isn’t it amazing how God’s words fit every part of our lives. He creaated us & knows exactly what we need. Claire – thanks so much for this needed project. You are appreciated!
Hi Clare! I filled out the form, but I hit enter to space it out a bit and it submitted it instead (kind of like FB does on comments). Sorry about that. I just shared about my workouts, but was going to share about some nutrition goals I met, as well as how the memory verse this week was such a blessing. I’ll share here, because maybe someone else needs to hear it as well???
I was doing an intense circuit (crossfit at home type workout). I did 10 rounds of 10 burpees and 10 situps. As I was finishing up round 8 (and really getting tired) I kept thinking ahead to how many more rounds I had left, but the Lord brought Mt. 6:34 to my mind and that reminded me to just “worry” or focus on THIS round and it helped me push through and really focus on each round and forget about the rounds I had left. So, thanks for listening to the Lord’s leading and choosing such awesome verses for us to memorize to meet us where we are at in this challenge.
I’m glad you shared that here Nikki! What a great parallel for our spiritual and physical life!!

Being out of town for training this past week derailed healthy eating and my exercise goals on the challenge. I did take extra time in the Word though and that felt great! I am ready for week 3 and will be meeting my goals!
I was sick the beginning of the week and my cold medicine made me so tired I only exercised one day. Then I found myself loosing focus. Clare, how do you adjust your routine when you are sick?
Hey Denise! Great question! In fact, I just created a blog post out of it that I’ll put up in the weeks to come!!
It depends on the type of sick I am. If I’m vomitting, with fever, totally exhausted or can’t stop sneezing or coughing, then I don’t go. I keep myself rested and focus on drinking water and still eating healthy.
If It’s just sinus infection or cold, then I go. I may not go at full intensity, but I find that it’s easier for me to keep at it at a smaller pace than to quit.
Finally, I realize that this is just part of life. You will get sick. So will your kids. So will you…again. Once you wrap your head around that, you can accept this roadblock a little easier, then purpose in your mind to return as soon as you are better. When we think of life as a long, long time, this is just a small blip of time.
Hope this helps!

Doing awesome this week. I started a new diet with my husband and it gave me a bit of a jumpstart on my weight loss! I lost 2.6 pounds in only 4 days! I did only 2 workouts this week, but am committed to my 2 workouts a week and that is alright with me for now. Still trying to fit in more, but as long as I get to my 2, I am happy. Especially if I am still losing the weight!!
The Soul Food for week 2 was exactly what I needed right at the right time. Thanks for this accountability.
Keep the encouragement coming :0). These are truly helping keep so many focused. I am down 4 pounds since starting the challenge. Not too shabby…I focus too much on that dern number :0). Cravings are no fun…why is it so difficult to realize they will PASS unattended to if we just wait it out???
Awesome job Donna!
I love this challenge, because it really is a challenge for me. And it was funny, because I had already set this for myself before I even saw this. Thank you Lord for the confirmation.
Blessings & Grace,
Adrienne
This definitely is a challenge for me, but I’m doing it. I also like the devotionals and Bible verses along with it: a complete package!
I’ve actually been reading Made to Crave along with this challenge. How perfect!
The pumpkin oatmeal was FANTASTIC!!! Looking forward to having it again for breakfast tomorrow!
I’m not blogging about this because sometimes I’m bad at blogging, but I’m loving this! I think my favorite part is the Soul Food.
Thank you for hosting this and being in charge of this, Clare. You’re a blessing!!!
Can’t check in for week 2 cause the form doesn’t display on my phone. But will do as soon as I get back to Bahrain tomorrow. Excited for week 3!!!
Awesome! Sorry that it doesn’t work on your phone!
I had a lightbulb moment yesterday in walmart. I am always telling my son especially to worry about NOW and not to worry about later until it comes/gets here. It struck me that the verse for last week is saying the same type of thing. Made me think for a second and realize that I also need to worry more about now and not worry about later until it gets here. Being that I homeschool my 3 children ages 5, 7 and 16 I am worried about them learning what they need to and what we will do tomorrow, next week or next month and need to focus more on what we are doing NOW. Same goes in everything else in life. I thank you for the scripture verse that led me to having this light bulb moment now to apply it to life and I know my kids will also when they see me leading by example. Bless you all and keep up the great work.
That’s awesome Julia! Thanks for sharing! Sounds like those kids have a great mama!

Dear Clare,
I am enjoying the accountability of this challenge so much! I print out the larger sized verse and tape it to a 3×5 index card. Though I must say I’ve been saying the last part with a sigh “…each day has enough trouble of its own.”
I’ve been doing the 60-minute Ballet Beautiful DVD 5 days a week and am trying to get extra cardio in through walking, bike rides, and Zumba.
Thank you and have a great week!
MY WEDDING RINGS FIT AGAIN!
That is soooo awesome!
Thanks for the encouragement!!!
1. Sleep – I didn’t ever consider this a craving but I am beginning to think it is. I enjoy sleeping and sometimes I think it gets in the way of being in the Word. I don’t take naps but I keep finding myself thinking I wish I could take a nap right now. And I often turn that 5:30 alarm off (which is for studying) and just going back to sleep.
2. Exercise – I don’t have a problem with this part of the challenge. But I find myself getting irritated when I don’t get my run in or a workout. Learning that a rest day is ok is hard sometimes. While exercise is good for you, it can be addicting, in a bad way!
3. Travel – We love to go! We can be at home and I am just waiting on the next trip. This is good sometimes because we visit others often.
All of these are ok in and of themselves, but when we start to put them before our God given duties they can become sinful cravings!
I’m a little new to peak313 and I’m loving it! Is there a way to be emailed each week’s Living & Active??
I’m loving all of this Challenge…but the scripture memorization is my favorite. Loving little “nuggets” of God’s living word !!!!!!
