Thanks again for this challenge. I love that Kirsten made a facebook page – we are hoping to keep this going after the challenge is over. I like that it was 5 weeks long, I think that it’s long enough to get us into the routine of working out 4 times a week and memorizing scripture. Thanks (and I love the grand prize!!)
I just want to thank you for this challenge. Each week’s scripture and key point has been right on time. I was able to complete last weeks challenge and did some digging, praying, confessing and more praying. Woke up feeling defeated this morning because it is taking me so long to reach my goals. Then I log onto this post and felt like the Lord is speaking directly to me. This health journey is for life and my commitment needs to reflect that as well. Thanks Clare for the thought and prayer that went into each week’s posts. God bless you all this week.
As usual, I love the insight this week. Thank you!
23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; 27 but I [l]discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
1 Cor 9
I want to say this is the best for encouragement. You are a ray of sunshine! I feel most that want to help others lose weight doesn’t have Jesus in their hearts so they can’t share much. But you are a blessing and Jesus shines through you. Thank you Clare for all your caring, understanding and love!!!! Blessings!
Dear Clare,
Thank you for the reminder to change my perspective. Sometimes I get caught in the day-to-day successes and failures and lose focus when all I see is failures. I love the accountability of this challenge and the fact that I’m not in this alone. I will not be done with this journey until I am face to face with Him!
