Recipe: Mocha Coconut Protein Shake
I don’t even feel like this should be considered “healthy” in the slightest because it is SO good and tastes exactly like the Starbucks one! I use protein shakes/smoothies as a supplement to my diet to make sure that I am getting enough protein in this lean mean machine of mine!!
I like playing around with different combinations and since coconut milk is all the rage, I decided to put this together! Super easy.
♥♥♥
Mocha Coconut Protein Shake
♦ 1 scoop Chocolate whey protein powder (I use Designer Whey)
♦ 1 cup of Original Coconut Milk (You can also use Vanilla Coconut Milk)
♦ 1 packet of instant coffee (I use Starbucks Via: Columbia)
♦ Optional: 1/2 tsp (or to taste) Coconut Extract
♦ Ice
Put all ingredients in a blender. Mix and enjoy!

Sounds yummy! I have almond milk on hand and will try that as a substitute.
I love this one. I also slip a handful of spinach in sometimes, you can’t taste it through the protein powder and it is oh, so good for you!
That looks so GOOD!
I use about a tbsp of coconut creamer also, and it taste the same. I also add 2 handfuls of fresh spinach and is so good. Love your blog by the way.
Love this smoothie! I do a similar one with the unsweetened coconut milk (only 45 calories!) and a scoop of cacao powder. So much chocolate goodness!
YUM! Had one today. Without the protein powder. I need to get some still. But this is such an indulgent treat. Sad to say I don’t think it is E2 approved due to the sugar. Love the coconut milk, that was new for me! So many new yummy things lately.
Just what I was looking for today. I dont like the eat breakfast but I need something for the morning.
Keep the advice coming !
Just tried this. My Wal-Mart did not have coconut extract….so I used almond milk and almond extract. Still good. Thanks for the recipe.
