Rock it.

The FiveFinger shoes are the new rage right now! I haven’t had a chance to try them out, but if I did, I’d choose this pair. How cute are they?! If you have a pair of these, I want to know how you like them!! Please, leave a comment with your thoughts!

Work it.

The weather is turning here in NE Ohio which means it’s time for  light, refreshing drinks! I probably wouldn’t use all the sugar that’s listed here but you can tailor that to your preference! Yum Yum!!

Love it

I love Mark Driscoll—and I love him even more now that I’ve seen and heard more of his wife, Grace! I realize not everyone likes him for whatever reason, but  I appreciate his desire for truth, his love for his wife & family and his passion for challenging our generation!

He put this as his facebook status the other day. It left me challenged and inspired and wondering how many times I’ve missed the opportunity to encourage my husband in this way?

As I left our house Grace could see the weariness on my face. She put her hands behind my head, face against mine, prayed for me, then kissed me. Changed my whole day.” – Mark Driscoll

Ecclesiastes 4:12 at it’s finest. (Yes. I’m going to make you look it up…kind of! :) )

Monday I am having a big birthday giveaway so be sure to come back to find out what you can get!

Make sure you are signed up to receive my blog posts in your inbox! Put your email in the spot on the right side of this page so you don’t miss anything!!

  1. I’ve been wanting to try out the Vibrams! That drink looks delicious. :)

  2. Clare, my husband and I have fivefingers and we absolutely love them. We haven’t tried running in them yet (hopefully we will soon) but I can definitely feel an increase in foot muscle strength since I’ve had them and less cramping after I run in regular shoes. They do take some getting used to though – don’t plan to wear them the whole day the first time.

  3. I hate socks that go between my toes I think shoes like that would drive me nuts! Are you not supposed to wear socks with them? I think I’ll stick to my newbalance shoes. Thanks :) I am enjoying your Friday posts though! Thanks!

  4. I love Mark Driscoll too!! Hubs and I are reading his book. LOVE it. And I don’t know that I am brave enough to try those shoes. I can’t get past the fact that they literally look like feet. LOL!

  5. I have that exact type of Vibram shoes (but mine are light blue and gray). I LOVE them! They are fabulous for hiking especially. I am still getting used to running in them, but hope to work up to running in them almost exclusively.

  6. JinkaBloom says:

I know the Vibrams are all the rage but I think they look like little monkey feet! LOL! I would rather get a pair of Nike “Free” for a minimalist shoe. (and you could still wear socks!) I bet you could make the drink with honey or liquid stevia and it would be wonderful! I love cucumber water- it sounds not so great but it is sooo refreshing! :o)
